HOLON FILM LAB ETHOS
We are not a group, it is me in my living room studio + collaborations, connections, inspirations! It's more like a network of individuals, people, artists, film makers, musicians, dancers, professionals, amateurs...
Holon film Lab is a place for collaboration where the line between life and art get blurred. It doesn't have an office or a physical space, it is mobile, nomad, free.
People involved act from London but also other places around the world. We tend to look at beautiful things! We create new things from what we observed and experienced; we create with light, faces, movement, sounds, relationships... we often ride the 4th dimension and we try to understand the poetry of life.
We believe in peace, unity and freedom and that all things are connected. And we travel, in space or in time, we go to places in search of new things, we try, we experiment. Sometimes we fail and we learn and become wiser, little by little. Sometimes quietly, sometimes lonely, because that is part of the journey.
And we share, we tell, we film, we dance the story of our journeys. This is what we do. Sometimes we use maps, GPS maps, mental maps, drawn maps, but we also like to get lost on the streets of an unknown place with a camera for instances, looking at the subtle dialogues of life.
But Holon Film LAB is not only about film, even if film is the link, the connection. We are preparing an exhibition/installation - Transient forms - light boxes with Mutant Paintings, and planning film screenings and other events.
Currently, Holon film LAB launched MICRO FILMS web tv, now showing Claudia's new and old films (1995-2009) in a short format, uploading new films every week. The new project LONDON GROUND is a series of experimental documentaries about the underground art and music scene in london in 2009. The project was launched on indieGoGo, a platform for fundraising and promoting independent film makers. Contributions are open now! take Action to support this project and make it happen.
In a near future, we hope to develop Holon Film LAB into a new direction with a regular series of creative workshops for artists.
Another future project it's called 'Nomad films' which is aimed to people in developing countries. The idea is to work closely with communities, offering workshops in micro / low-budget films as a key medium for personal and social expression.
But somehow it all seems to be just starting...

Every system is a whole in itself and a part of something else, from a subatomic particle to the entire universe. Information FLOWS bi-directionally between smaller and larger systems.
